OCT NEWS SHEET

Apologies for the absence of News for August and Sept but personally I was struggling to fit things in and from a club wide aspect there were no pressing topics.

GEOPARK WALK:

The final leg of this memorable 109m exploit will take place on Oct 14th and will be 11-12 miles into Gloucester. The start point will be the Kings Head Pub at Birdwood, approx 9m after leaving the M5 at junction 11 and taking A40 to Ross-on-Wye. We will then return to the pub for a celebratory meal and open the opportunity for any members to join us either on the walk and/or for the meal. You will be very welcome and we can recommend the food as we ate there after the penultimate leg.

SATURDAY EXCURSIONS:

Since our Snowdon ascent in July, we have climbed Aran Fawddyy and Cadair Idris with some members “mountaineering” for the first time. Sandwiched between these, was the Borth-Aberystwyth coastal path (also with some steep ascents/descents!), travelling by train from Wolverhampton.

Our last excursion this year scheduled for Oct needs to be revised, so ideas now being discussed for Oct and next year! If anyone not previously involved is interested please contact Bernard.
